You don't need to suffer from chronic skin issues, uncomfortable flare-ups, or the frustration of trying every cream without lasting results. As a certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, I specialize in uncovering the root causes of skin conditions.

With your input, we'll piece together the clues your skin is giving us and create a personalized plan to restore balance from the inside out -so your skin can truly heal and you can feel not just better, but vibrant.

At our core, we know that gut health, nutritional deficiencies and sensitivities, stress, and hormones can all be connected to the health of our skin. But what is right for your unique body and specific challenges? That's where I come in.

Thank you for visiting my website!

I started to dive into functional medicine years ago when I made the alarming discovery that I carry the gene for Alzheimer's disease. Since I’ve never been someone to accept bad news, I began researching epigenetics—how your lifestyle and environment can change the way your genes work.

I learned to shift the way I thought about my health: both my fears of a future with a debilitating disease and my current struggles, including very severe rosacea.

Over the next four years, I took my investigation to the next level with formal education in nutrition and health coaching. I followed that course of study with a deep dive into the science of functional medicine, and then another into functional dermatology—with additional training in microbiome health and genetic testing along the way. I will never stop learning.

My mission is to share this depth of knowledge with my clients—to help them uncover the root cause of their medical concerns, clear up skin issues from the inside out, and create personalized plans based on nutrition, supplements, and lifestyle changes to carve a new path forward.

HEAL YOUR GUT

Skin diseases- like almost all diseases- begin in the gut. It’s that simple. The majority of your immune system is located in your gut, and the state of your gut defines the state of your body. Gut problems often start out small—like with IBS—but can easily develop into serious gastrointestinal disease or manifest as chronic conditions outside of the gut. Sometimes the dysbiosis in your gut is reflected only in your skin, with no gut symptoms at all.

I have spent hundreds of hours studying ways to heal the gut, so you can embark on a healthy path for the rest of your life.

CLEAR YOUR SKIN

Because I have suffered from several “incurable” skin diseases, I can truly relate to how frustrating -and often embarrassing -this can be. Antibiotics and creams can’t truly fix skin disease because your skin is a reflection of your internal health. After all, your skin is your largest organ, so it only makes sense that it  reflects your overall well-being and not just your outer appearance.

Whether you have rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, acne, keratosis pilaris, or another skin condition, the only real path to remission is finding  the root cause of the inflammation within.

FIX YOUR HEALTH

One of the main reasons I am passionate about healing skin is that it often reveals early signs of deeper health issues.  Because the skin is the body's most visible organ, it is a clear reflection of what is happening inside.  When we notice changes in the skin, it is often a sign of underlying imbalance or disease. This means we have the unique opportunity to identify developing health issues before they fully manifest.  We can address imbalances -like microbial dysbiosis- at their root, preventing them from escalating and affecting the body as a whole.
